H/h - Varian Du Fey/Princess Merewyn
Setting: England, sometimes after King Arthur's death to the present century.

Read in June, 2011.
My rating:

                                                                    [spoiler alert]

This book is interesting but I'm still not feeling it. There are plenty of funny scenes I really enjoyed. But the fact that Varian's way of talking and all sorts of 21st century references (including the movie 'Monty Python') kinda killing the fun for me.

Alright, I'll try my best to keep the information in this book straight, which are a bit convulated for me wee brain! Otherwise, it's a marvelous book. I'm loving the story and the h/h, Kerrigan and Seren. There are things and terms sometimes seem a bit confusing but after reading the glossary of words once, somehow I can remember them enough to relate.

Read in, June 2011.
My rating:

                                                                    [spoiler alert]

To tell you the truth, I quite enjoying this book. Though the premise isn't anything unique, I still like it. I liked Catarina in Taming the Scotsman, in here she's keeping her record. But, I wasn't really interested in Lochlan since he didn't seem to be an intriguing man. Erm, yah, a bit stuffy and straight laced kind. But of course, as the laird of the clan MacAllister, he has proved himself. In his book, I'm beginning to unearth a man who has his own vulnerabilities, too.

Read in May, 2011.
My rating:

                                                                          [spoiler alert]

For some reasons, I'm not liking Christian as a hero. And, yes, the story is dragging quite a bit. I'm at chapter 10 and it's still not picking up pace. Frustrating in one word!

Setting: England, in the time of King Henry II.

Read in May, 2011.
My rating:

This book has loads of information which is making me think KM should've build it's background from the earlier books. I'm having trouble keeping the facts straight. And there are just too many characters and incidents of Outremer I have to keep track of throughout the whole book, suffice to say, I don't think I can talk about it all in my review. Just impossible. So, I'll go straight to the main story between Stryder and Rowena and add a few facts on the way.

I was hoping for a fun read in Ewan's book and it is! Ewan is such an adorable giant of a man, I don't know where to start about him. I so love a man so surly, grumpy on the outside but sweet and intoxicating on the inside, Ewan is just that. And the quite ones are always da bomb in bed, Ewan is just that, too!

My rating:

Ah, Sin you're great! I'm a very simple person, so I'd like to talk about you in simple paragraphs. But, I assure you there's nothing simple about you babe and never you feel down because of how people treat you! They're just cowards, you know? And your mother (though I have hesitations calling her that)? She's a shallow, self-centered, pitiful thing; just don't let her get to you dear. Trust me, I'm here for you, so is Callie. I believe that girl is the one for you and you both are made for each-other. I'm waiting for you to realize it darling.
