Hmmm, let’s see. An escort/gigolo book... I’m sold!

About Last Night... is my first try in Belle Aurora’s writing. I did like what I read but there are things that bugged me throughout the story. I’d always consider reading about a gigolo hero because they’ve been my favorite for a long time. But I also want a story and HEA, just not meaningless p*rn, which, seeing their profession, is a big possibility. This why I’m selective about what I read. Have to say I’m glad that I read this book but it could’ve been better IMO.

The story talks about Matt Quinn, who has been working as an escort for about 5 yrs. now. He doesn’t really have anyone else on the family-side but his mother, whom he had not seen in a long time due to issues that are revealed at the end of the story. His only friend and family has been Harry Bridgeton, who is also the person that brought him into this profession. Matt has had very little education, and eventually, he began resenting the small, underpaid jobs that he’d get. So when Harry came to him with the proposition of making more money than he can even imagine in a month, Matt jumped in. I mean he’s tall, gorgeous to look at, and he’d get free ‘dates’ almost every day and get paid for having sex. Should be any man’s dream! It didn’t take long for Matt to start working for DFT (never caught the full name of the site).

Just finished The Seduction 4, the last installment of The Seduction series by Roxy Sloane. What can I say? It was enjoyable but nothing special.

The self-proclaimed “Seducer”, who used to seduce women in exchange of big amount of cash, was given an assignment of spinning his magical God-in-Bed mana on Keely, a reserved, less experienced girl by ‘someone’. Vaughn went in because he thought Keely was attractive enough (not to mention the money), not having a clue that this time, his perfect record of conquering every conquest is going to crash. From the first moment, Keely shook his world as bad as he did hers.

Hmmm, apparently Mr. Seducer has landed on his a$$, quite literally, on the 3rd installment of The Seduction series by Roxy Sloane. Frankly, I didn’t know what to expect when I finished book 2 but Vaughn landing on his tight bum was not how I envisioned things.

Hmmm...

If you don’t know who this self-proclaimed ‘The Seducer’ or Vaughn is, you must start from the beginning. He’s a highly paid gigolo who seduces women for an exorbitant price. But I’ve had trouble putting him in that category; he’s rather conceited about his high and mighty ‘God in Bed’ status. Oddly enough, I’ve always had a soft spot for gigolos, which is why I’m still not kicking his butt. Apparently, I don’t need to, for Keely is doing it well enough on my behalf. :p

The 3rd book in Lori Brighton’s Seduction series, To Please A Lady, wasn’t bad overall, however was a bit of a drag for the majority of it. James was quite an underdeveloped character in the first two books. He came and went on and off in those; I knew he was one of Lady Lavender’s most devoted boys but I never really felt I knew him that well. This story starts out in Lavender Hill, the famous brothel that caters to the sexual needs of women only, as James was still working there while Alex and Gideon have made their escapes.

As for an intro, Lavender Hill, run by a beautiful but cold, lavender-eyed French woman named Ophelia is famous for its beautiful and experienced male prostitutes. They cater the needs of all sorts of women, be it virgins or bored housewives and widows, all for those who can pay the hefty price. The story also tells us about three boys who were brought in together by Ophelia in their early teens; Alex, Gideon and James. They have been her priced possessions, the most sought after among the women. Gideon has been the one to put doubts in Alex and James’s minds. He’s the most rebellious of them all. Gideon always thought there was something fishy about the way they were brought here together. Thankfully, he was successful in helping Alex escape this place, who is now happily married to Grace (book 1, To Seduce an Earl). Two years after Alex’s escape, Gideon also had his chance, thanks to one stubborn little red haired heiress, Elizabeth. Because of her, he now knows more about his own past, and though the truth may not have been pretty, Gideon has finally found the love of his life and the peace of mind that had always eluded him, alongside a title and financial stability.
