Today, I'm hosting a promo on Elaine Cantrell's latest release, Flood, as a part of the ongoing blurb excerpt tour. Also find an exclusive excerpt, hope you enjoy it!
Elaine Cantrell will be awarding a $15 Amazon or B/N GC to a randomly drawn winner via rafflecopter during the tour
Drawn together by their love of animals, Aria DeLuca and Caleb Hawkins burn for each other. They never suspected that malignant forces were successfully plotting Caleb’s ruin from the moment he entered her life.
When the flood of a century strikes Aria’s hometown, an alienated Caleb is all that stands between her and catastrophic loss.
An Exclusive Excerpt from Flood:
The current wasn’t as swift here so the canvas boat had slowed down considerably. In fact, Caleb was pretty sure that with the hard paddling he’d done he was over land now and not Pigeon Creek or the Wendell River. He should feel grateful for this miracle, but he didn’t. He just felt sort of numb. If Aria and Clariee had been caught in Aria’s house, the odds that they’d be saved weren’t all that good. She had rejected him and believed the worst of him, but the idea of a world without Aria De Luca in it was too monstrous to be believed.
The boat got caught in a small eddy that jerked him out of his reverie. The eddy spun him in a different direction, and when the boat rounded a curve, he saw Aria’s truck sitting on the side of the road. Water covered about a third of the tires, but it looked as if the motor was still dry. His hands clenched around his paddle. Where was she? Why was her truck parked here? What could have motivated an intelligent woman to purposely drive into a raging flood zone?
