My initial response: all goggle-eyed and thinking, this is insane!

Note: I didn't read erotica until I came across Passion purely by chance, which of course lead me to this one...

And then...

Let me start by saying that I really had no idea about BDSM or its various ways until I read Patience. At least that's how I felt when I read it. Let me also put it (very politely) that I have a very *cough*delicate*cough*sensibilities*cough* ... Certain stuffs are hard for my delicate *cough cough* stomach to contain, so the beginnings (and the proceedings for a while) of Patience and Matthew's affair seemed surreal (exactly like Patience, when she thought she and Matthew were 'strange'!). :D

I'm not a fan of BDSM but when Matthew began to realize that he really loves Patience, my perspectives on this book changed. I knew he cared for her in his way but love made it all so very different. I had to look into things differently. Another thing I think I liked was that there weren't various BDSM 'prop' usage in the book. Anyway, won't say I loved it all but in the end, it deserved a 5 star nonetheless. Again, I'm thinking: Man, what a book! And only Ms. Valdez can deliver this!! I'm not doing a detailed review of this one, surely you'll find both positive and negative reviews in GR.

A few months ago I've read the excerpt of Primrose in Ms. Valdez's website and have to say I'm dying (again) for the book to come out! I hope we don't have another looooooooong wait ahead of us. (plz plz plz plz plz plz Ms. Valdez)

PS: Who is Luke? Some thought Lord Fitz Roy would be Prim's match but Luke's not his given name so, the question remains...
